Grand Re-Opening of a World Class Green Body Shop

August 13, 2010 Davison Mi. Hank Graff Davison, Michigan’s premiere Collision Center announced today the Grand Re-Opening of it’s World Class Green Body Shop in conjunction with the dealership’s 96th year anniversary. On hand for the ribbon cutting was ceremony was Graff’s lead painter, Jerry Barkman. Jerry is a twenty year veteran of the Graff Collision Center. When asked how the water based, green technology has affected his quality of life, Jerry had this to say,

“Well, let me start by saying I wish it was the state of the art when I started out nearly twenty years ago, you can’t believe the difference it makes in the way you feel, not being exposed to the harsh and sometimes toxic fumes and dust. Graff has always provided the best safety equipment money can buy for us but there was a day in any paint shop where you just could not avoid it sometimes. In the time that I have been here, now over twenty years all we have to say is that it will improve quality or it’s better for our health and this place does it, never questioned”. “We have always had the cleanest shop around and it shows in our work too. We just don’t have to fight the conditions other shops typically have to and we can stay focused on the quality of the work we do and not be worrying about our health.

Larry Griswold, the Collision Center manager at Hank Graff Davison commented that “our commitment to “Green” has been made as the technology becomes available and in many cases our facilities were among the first in the mid-west to adopt Green emerging technologies, equipment, policies and procedures. All in all it has been great for the environment, for the community and great for our employees. In addition to using water based paints and coatings, we also recycle100% of our rubber and plastic waste, 100% of the corrugated paper products, all of our steel, oil and chemicals are all sent to recycling centers. Larry is also celebrating his anniversary with the Hank Graff organization, his 40th.

Hank Graff Davison Body Shop is 2010 Best of Genesee County

Hank Graff Davison, the nation’s premier dealer for new Chevrolets and used vehicle sales, announced today that its body shop has been voted the 2010 “Favorite Body Shop” in Genesee County by the readers of The Flint Journal and Mlive.com. Mr. Greg Toth, Hank Graff Davison’s service manager announced that effective with today’s date that his service department is equipped to service the full Saturn line. In an effort to provide service to the thousands of Saturn owners in the Flint, Grand Blanc, Genesee County and Oakland county areas, Hank Graff Davison has expanded its service department with additional ASE certified technicians and extended its hours.
